Tips for traveling to Bali

The official language in Bali is Bahasa Indonesia the fact that the second language is English is a little legend urban known except in restaurants and large hotels. The Balinese speak very little English. To get a little closer to understanding Balinese culture and way of life is important to know a few words in their language. Locals look at you differently and your experience in Bali automatically change for the better.
Consider a few examples: How are you?: Apa Kabar?, Well: Baik, Good morning: Selamat Pagi, Good afternoon: Selamat Siang, Good Night: Selamat Sore, See: Sampai Jumpa, Thanks: Terima Kasih, From nothing: Sama-Sama, Sorry: Maaf, What time is it: Jam berapa?, Where is?: Dimana?, How much does it cost?: Berapa harganya?, I’d eat: Saya mau makan, Delicious: Enak sekali, Spicy / Picante: Pedas.
Bali has several schools Bahasa Bali such as Bali Language School in the street of Seminyak Jalan Kunti II or Seminyak Language School also. Besides the local language, in Bali we can make Indonesian cooking classes, workshops to work silver, Balinese massage, or a course to develop offerings created with bamboo or palm leaves.
The Thousand Islands in North America
On the border between the United States and Canada is Lake Ontario, one of five Great Lakes of North America, from which springs the St. Lawrence River. This vast expanse of freshwater is home to one of the continent’s natural wonders: the Thousand Islands.
This archipelago, despite its name, it consists of thousand islands, but more: it is estimated that over 1800, some very small, some of several square kilometers. For a land mass island is considered, you must meet three requirements: emerge on the surface of the water throughout the year, measured over a meter square and have at least one living tree.
The Thousand Islands are a popular tourist region, especially in summer, when it is full of people who enjoy water sports. The large number of islands makes life easier for anyone who wants to find a shelter to be a quiet time, and indeed in many islands are private homes whose owners go on vacation or rent them. It is a beautiful place to spend a few days off, as the water is very clean and small islands remain calm.
Several of these, however, serve or have served, residences for wealthy people who became mansions and castles built on private islands. One of the most disturbing is the Heart Island, where the Boldt Castle. Its owner, George Boldt, director of the prestigious Waldorf-Astoria hotel in New York, used to spend their holidays on the island with his family and ordered the construction of a private castle in 1900. However, after the sudden death of his wife, the work was interrupted and the family never returned to the island, leaving behind the unfinished construction disturbing.
If you visit the Thousand Islands area can rent a car in New York, if you come from the U.S. side, or Kingston, the Canadian side (the latter is closer). Several ferry routes covering from island to island, but only the larger ones.
